Amina is a population researcher and demographer. By adopting a multi-disciplinary approach to research, Amina provides detailed demographic consultancy services for use at a range of local council and government levels, as well as the private sector.
Amina specialises in strategic demographic advice as the basis for effective and informed decision making. By providing clients with an understanding of the components of demographic change, Amina works with organisations to plan for the future demands for their services. Her use of population projection modelling can provide national and regional information on demand for schools, child care, medical services and more.
Formerly a researcher at the Demographic Analytical Services Unit of Tasmania for over 5 years, and trained at the Australian Demographic and Social Research Institute, Amina has extensive experience in demographic and social research. Amina holds a Bachelor of Arts (First Class Hons.) in Sociology and is currently undertaking a PhD in Demography.
